The air conditioning at my place of work is broken, and they have put off replacing it for over 3 years now. It will cost about £160,000 to replace, at the moment they have industrial sized portable aircon machines which cost £6000/month to hire apparently, they are about as useful as a chocolate teapot...
We are allowed to wear casual clothes all this week now, like this is really going to lower the temperatures in the office - NOT!
Fucking tight German bastards!

On a day like today when we did have our air con at work it would have been over 30C today (2 week off anyway ). Back when we had that killer heatwave 3 years back it reached 45-46C at work, even with the roof vent opens and the fans on. Working in that for 8 hours a day was not fun.
2 weeks ago they finished fitting our air con though so now its 21-22C all day every day
