I got the panasonic PT AE-900 LCD projector (Review here http://www.homecinemachoice.com/cgi-bin/outputpdf.php?file=HCC/124/068_HCC_124.pdf ) and the bulbs last around 3,000 hours, £250 ish for a new one too Tested out a few in a home cinema shop in town before i bought it, wasnt impressed with the DLP ones for the same price even though they are brighter, i kept noticing the rainbow effect and it was driving me mad Its def the best gadget ive ever bought though, got it in my room at uni with a 5' screen

well you should see his DVD collection - the whole back wall was covered, must have been around 600 dvds or more, was a bit of a movie fan though
impressive, but certainly not worth the cash

I used to have a 68" screen with my projector, was great but gets too hot cant use it much as u like to, the LCD screen is far superior IMO for the money you spend

1) cam is crap, projector quality is awsome!
2) its on wall
3) unsure about bulb, only had it couple month
4) we've had it on a good few hours and not had problems with over heating
5) yeah yeah all these things can be improved, but its alot better than alot of people have and does its jobs for parties, especially golden eye tournements aye nath

the room has potential. well you've got a the screen and the electronics. it just all looks a bit of a mess tho. you not thought of building a false wall/cabinet which will fill the whole wall and have the screen built in there? and also have somewhere to put the dvd players/etc.
and then maybe get some pictures of really old classic films on the wall or something or is that just gay?
eitherway, try and make it more of a cinema room rather than just an empty room with a screen stuck to the wall

I got one for my mums setup cos she doesnt want a PC in the lounge, works fine over wireless and it means you can watch all the stuff from your pc on the tv. Also built in dvd player which plays all files, usb port on the front for external hard drive, free online radio, and IP TV coming in the future, wicked bit of kit

Looks uncomfy. Personally I hate the cinema experience, cramped in a single chair. Would much rather have a 3-seater to sprawl out on.
