Tidal. I think that people should stop and think for a second. The reason why we don't use tidal energy is because there are a couple of nature reserves on the esturys they want to build the plants on. These would be destoyed and a few birds would have no where to live for a while. Uh oh, thats far worse than everyone burning to death because of global warming or people dying from nucleur radiation poisoning. Some people are such idiots.

They didn't think about affects of coal etc years ago so why should we care about nuclear waste as we'll be dead before it affects us. I'll go sit in the narrow minded pig corner.

They didn't think because they didn't know. Now that we know we have responsibilities.

Tto be honest, i really dont give a shit about the environment, if i did, i'd drive a Toyota Prius.
I'm supposed to be paying for the mistakes that my parents generation made, and their parents, and Im fucked if im not allowed to fuck up the planet as much as they did....
Nuclear power is safer than it ever has been, due to Chernobyl. If the accident there had never happened, the system would never have been improved, and would not be safer now.

Mixture of all the above, new build houses/offices/commercial units etc will come with secondary power sources built in to self power as much as possible!!!!In 50 or so years once oil reserves are milked Nuclear will be big its unfeasible to think it wont…it is the future primary power sources & thats that as far as I see, hopefully by then it will be safer & people will have a better understanding on it!!!

Its not unsafe now. There's more accidents in other power stations than there are inNuclear ones.
like i said before, people are scared of the word.

Bearing in mind fusion power is on the way, nucleur power is only need for one generation of power stations. The problem with nucleur energy is what to do with the waste. You could shoot it into the sun, but, that's not allowed.

Yes people are scared of the word, people look at what happened at Chernobyl & think the worse!!! Granted theres more accidents in other refineries/power stations but theres much more of them!! Hopefully the next 50yrs will bring research into nuclear power generation & disposal & put public anxiety at ease!!

In 50 years time I would have hoped they have got fusion power to work, after all, we are spending enough money into researching and building a plant to do it. Fuck nucleur.
