That's out of order mate.

The only thing I could think is A ) they did it fuck you over (but the whole insurance thing is a bit excessive) or B ) you startled them so much as you came pass, they ended up crashing their car

Well, I'll be sticking to my guns! I'm not losing my NCB for something I didn't do.

Will take it to court if I have to Got enough people to back me up that my car isn't/wasn't damaged.

Will keep you all posted! Still bad to see no-one else has had problems like this

So they damage would have to be on the drivers side of their car then.

You should really find out what they're claiming for exactly. No doubt they've chucked whiplash in there for good measure

too right, i'd try and contact the third party yourself, see what they are playing at and make them clear that this is your intentions once it is all sorted.

This has been dragging on now..

If the Police have inspected your car at the time and no damage....Wheres the claim? Surely the Insurance company contact Police and then Police tell them no damage thats that...

I would go and have a word with the Citizens advice or that...

Surely the insurance company is wasting time following this up????

If there "was" an accident anyway, he would have hit you from behined, in which case, it would be there fault anyway for driving without due care and attention.........

It's not unheard of, a guy hit our dobermann years ago, then tried to claim for damage to his car. Luckily, we found out he already had three other claims againt various people for causing the same damage.

Got done for fraud iirc, then something unrealted like kiddie porn, so he got his come uppance in the end.

worst thing you can do is get in touch with the individual - you'd end up being prosecuted for harrassment.
Firstly, I'd speak in depth with your insurers and find out if they are going to fight the claim or if they intend to settle it.
If the latter happens, I'd go to see the CAB first before seeking a solicitor. They're normally excellent and free and a solicitor only needs to be used if it continues or ends up in court.

Take photos of your car asap with the dates on, and also a pic of a daily newspaper, with the date clear and the date function on your camera; this will aid any defence you have to make and prooves the timing of the photos.

Also contact the officer dealing with your case again. Inform him that the insurers are going to settle and that in your opinion the third party is actively and fraudulently deceiving them.

They should throw the book at him anyway; watsing police time, Fraud, etc

Eh? Read it again my friend.

Making a fake injury claim is point 1. Somethign to55ers do to make a quick buck.

Point 2 is seperate saying IF they DID hit this driver, then from whats written, the corsa owner pulled out thus the other driver would have hit from behined so its the other drivers fault anyway. But seeing as no-one hit anyone, its theoretical.
