I want to stop too, just need to get out the habit...stopped for 7 weeks thats been my longest last year..
Really going to give it a go again and save thre money too as costs a fortune...
I had patches the last time but this time I am going to go cold turkey and give it a shot.

i quit, it was a complete arse, and i felt rough as fuck for about 3 weeks, but i feel loads better now, and i dont get cravings anymore
not drinking helps a lot, and not going to the pub with mates who smoke for the first two or 3 weeks

My girlfriend smokes and whenever she says she is giving up her mates start being wankers by smoking around her constantly and offering her fags. They make it as hard as possible for her cos they dont want her to give up for some reason. Tossers

Yeah but i go out most weekends go to newquay alot n halifax hate missing out but i no if i go out il want a fag. Plus i go away a week on friday so il be buying them to bring back coz there cheap and then i go away again on the 17th july!

i do hate it and i really wanna quit iv been told by the doctors to quit coz its killing my chest but iv tried most ways going cold turkey, patches chewing gum u name it iv tried it!

& I'm sure you can survive without going out for the 1st few weeks that you give up!

cold turkey is the ONLY way to do it IMO
just stop, and every time you want a smoke, drink some water

You need to think about your kids mav, they don't have a choice but to inhale your smoke and its not doing them any favours at all  Would make you all a lot better if you stopped  You should use it as motivation...
With regards to the person who hates smoking but can't stop, you have a choice... in life you always have choices and realistically its just a case of beating the addiction and getting over it You sound like you really want to stop so stop... cold turkey may happen but eventually you'll get over it and feel a lot better for it

theres lots of ways you can quit smoking main thing is youve got to have will power for alot of things i do but smoking isnt one of them i find it really hard quiting as from 2moro im gunna give it a go av got a few patches left from last time so il use them and then try do it on my own im really determined this time!

Nope never smoked a single cigarette and why, because i can say no and decided i didn't want to. Not being rude but i don't care for people who whinge on about wanting to quit something like smoking and saying they can't, you can; it's just a case of applying yourself to it... mind over matter robin
