Yeh I went through this alot when I was about 17 / 18 - then decided to sort my life out.

Honestly mate, things could always be worse. You've been given the gift of life. Life is too short to live in depression never mind suicide, don't waste your life. Your so lucky, im sure theres millions of starving people in the world that would kill for a life like yours. Get a grip man.

About two years ago I was in a similar frame of mind all my mates from school that i had known for years changed for the worst and the village i grew up in started changing for the worst. I started getting into trouble and doing drugs etc. Until i decided i couldn't take it. I had to move on. Was pretty shit for a while but it is getting better now and i have new friends. What I am saying mate is you may feel down now but if you take that leap to do something better like going abroad or moving away it will get better for you.

Most depression is self inflicted - either influenced by other people's actions or an event.
Your mind almost turns against you, you can run away from bullies or thugs, but you will always have your mind on you and if it's constantly reminding you how shit your life is, you will obviously feel like killing yourself.
You need to focus on things you enjoy (like you said, mates + playing football) - less on the things that are making you depressed and try to solve whatever problem is getting you down.
When I was 17, I'd failed my exams, was being kicked out of school, had mates that were complete Cock-ends, had been comfort eating and was badly overweight, got in a fight recently and got my nose broken, no job, with no real future in my eyes.
Depression really did make me break down quite a few times - and just think fuck this whats the point in living.
Thing is, I ditched the mates who I had been mates with since kids, but I was completely different to them by the time I was 17 (i.e. I liked cars, and listening to garage and going out to clubs - they all knew nothing about cars, and were all into rock and going to gigs and getting stoned) - Got into college and redid all my exams and got the best marks I possibly could - which let me go to uni.
Got a job, made loads of new mates with similar interests.
Focused on the one thing I truely enjoyed at the time, cars and cruises - leading now onto track days.
Signed up to the gym, went on a diet and lost all the weight.
I've never looked back
I still have my odd down days here and there, but It now spurs me on to sort out whatever the problem is.
End of the day mate, stick with it and you'll get through it. Just focus on the things you enjoy and as I say live life like you could've already died and have been given another chance to live! Do what you want! like they say take a flight to anywhere, change in scenery!

Again, short term.
If its not right, walk away. A relationship is an opportunity to see if it worked, not something you've got to flog because you're too soft to leave it when its clearly not going to happen.

Its weird, what you say is true but it comes across different in the mind. Doesn't seem to be hope in my eyes atm.

Maybe it comes with age but that's how i look at it now. Walk away, you have your own life to lead.

No matter where you end up they'll snap your hand off for british bar staff, get a room, few quid a night, even for a week you get a bar job and just live on what you can get hold of... no worries, just leave it all behind for a bit!

Live it up, go it and enjoy what the world has to offer..... remember.... there is more to this planet than England.... and often it;s better elsewhere.... and we all know, foregn birds love a brit!!

Because the mind is thinking 'must commit and have children in order to further the population'.
In reality, watching football and talking to girls because you want to, not because you have to sort out a mess is more fun.
Time heals that. I've been upset over girls before, thought there was nothing else and sure its sad, and it feels like you couldn't imagine yourself with anyone else but you'll surprise yourself later when you do.
The good news is that takes 10 years, so be prepared for a few more knocks on the way but predominantly some fun also. What doesn't kill you makes you stronger.

The only thing thats puts my mind of everything bad, is being out in cars, motorbikes ect I have to be doing something to keep me from thinking about the bad stuff but you remember the bad stuff for like 2 seconds and you feel like shit again.

When your older you will realise how silly it is to feel like that
I was the same when i was 16/17, took it to the extreme as well
But im 20 now and think, wtf, whenever i think back on how i felt when i was younger.
Don't worry Mart, things will get better!

Im just gonna go out and get a job to take my mind of things, and to earn some £££.
I realise its silly to act/feel like this but there's nothing I can do to stop feeling like it atm. When I'm not out with mates I'm always sitting here thinking of all the bad crap.
