I did loads of shopping around and ended up paying £2500 on the S2000 (UK version) Group 20

I was quoted £5300 on an import which is the same car parts the lot, just was from Japan

Problem is the prices will vary so much, as it is dependant on the area you live in and what is the most popular car stolen in the area etc.... Also I had 6 point at the time I had mine and now have a clean licence so may have been allot cheaper??

UK spec imprezas are 200bhp remember not a supercar, the S2000 is much more of a 'sportscar'.

Not really the issue, it's not just down to power, it's based on numbers stoeln numbers crashed, average cost of claims against that car etc

i would agree with jambo about imprezza insurance. Friends boyfriend has one. he is in his late 20's. his insurance shot up one year because the insurance company said that out of the 9 imprezzas they insured 7 off them had been written off that year

Speed isn't the only factor...

Nickability (how easy it is to steal) how much parts are, what their stats say about how many people have claimed owning, say for example an S2000 etc. Loads of factors involved

I got quoted £1500 on the S2000 fully comp when I turn 21

They are stupidly expensive to insure as they are convertable, RWD, Vtec etc etc the list goes on
