There was a few incidents like that in Liverpool last year where JCB's were going missing only to reappear a few days later to smash an ATM out of the wall of a bank...

And £80k JCB to steal a few k from a cash machine...... Criminals are a clever bunch....

Yes but its a lot easier to get rid of used notes than an 80k JCB which everyone is looking for...

No one would touch it...

You dont need a JCB to steal an ATM. How outlandish is that. A ram raid in an inconspicuous car will do it.

Someone who knew what they were doing could shift an 80k JCB.

Whats quicker...a JCB which can ram into the bank and carry the ATM away in the bucket...

or

a car which may need a few goes to smash the bank in..then how do they get the ATM into the car...

Think about it....

To be fair, they didnt use the big, tracked excavators, more like the tractor style ones, they cant move very fast unless they have wheels and they cant use them on roads, either.

If you get a long reach L series as they have, you can leave it on the wagon.

Plus you don't need to leave the scene on the excavator, you get a car for that which you park closer to the ATM for loading.

Some people round here nicked a "Cash Can" atm off a garage forecourt with an old range rover. Apperently they put a chain round it and pulled it up the road, then loaded the cash can into a Tranny van!!
