Bought me XE already converted and in the 8 months of ownership never had a problem with the conversion side..

I did join the RAC when i bought it but i didn't need to...

IMHO they are great fun, fast wee car that surprises ppl and if good conversion and looked after no problems..

Mine was my daily driver aswell..

Any car with 150bhp and 0-60 in Approx high 6's secs in a light (ish) shell is going to be fun..

Anybody that says they are not fun etc must be nuts..

My LET isn't welded. So I wouldn't bother with an XE.

But before I get everybody saying you should weld your car, yes I am doing, as you would be amazed where it has started cracking

Many hours with the welder coming up, it shall be the most rigid shell on CS lol

My 2.0 corsa was the most fun i've had in a car for the rawness of it. The way it just pulled and sounded was fully ace, plus surprised many a car!

Definately go for it, make sure you get a good loom etc and give it a good service and strip before putting it in!

Thats my 2p!
