Don't want to go old, want to be about the same age as the Astra. So nothing older than W-X reg, although if a immaculate Mk3 Astra GSi came avaliable I would find it hard to resist.

look into something else thats more classic/less common for another car
Thats a sensible comment, I am not ready for sensible cars like the Astra at the moment, I want to be involved in the scene for years to come its the only thing keeping me sane.
Don't want Elise, S2000 or anything like that.
just get something that doesn't look wallyed up but still sleek/smart.
the right car with nice rims, lowering and exhausts can look spot on.
is all i wanna do to a corrado when i get one, lower, some really nice rims, gleaming paint and a nice exhaust. Forget stripping, cages, saving weight and wanting a semi-sleeper look, i'd just prefer a nice car to begin with

I think an Audi A3 in decent colour, nice interior and some expensive rims would suit

If you can put the same amount of work in to a Corsa as you did the Nova, you won't need a late one.

Why not just stick the 16v back in the Nova and fit throttle bodies, or is that just silly talk?

this should have been my post, i didnt want to advertise this was something i wanted to do though
want to do exactly the same things as you posted. 1.6 16v, white, on its arse, but dont think i can be bothered now.
wanted to keep the 306 derv as a practical runabout car, and then get something for the weekends. either corsa sport, corsa c sri, or 106 gti.
ive realised after seeing all the yellow b's from PVS, you really cant do anything new with the corsa b, so i dont see a point. really wanted a yellow one too

I don't want to be doing re-sprays etc, I want to get the best white one avaliable with good bodywork.
