I had a mini clubman estate , was the same age as me  , i put 10x8 alloys on it and cooper arches.....top speed of 90 had it off the clock few times 
would prob still have a mini just not an estate this time, wanted something different form all the fiesta 999ccs and novas everyone had at the time...

my 1st car when i was 18 was a mk1 1.1GL ford fiesta..... [it was 23years old]
now if i was starting to drive i would try get a cheap/not too rusty nova/ pre'97 corsa....

Had a Corsa 1.4 16v SRi but I think the best first car is a Saxo VTR....actually a Fiesta Zetec S is better
