crap celebration which showed what a freak he is, yes was a very very good finish, which i was shocked at TBH but overall hes useless, wouldnt cost £30-50k a week to hire a lampost surely?

He wont score 20+ goals a season, but his support work, and holding the ball up is excellent. Plus there are not many others who can come on in a game and totally change things round.

Why dont you just get behind your national team though, maybe you dont agree with Sven picking him but your not the manager so just get behind him and hope he does well. Whats the point all these people putting him down and booing him when hes coming on the pitch.

you obviously know fuck all about football. He isnt an out and out forward like you seem to think he is. His game works around playing with a fast runner, where he can bring the ball down and feed it through. He does it week in week out with Liverpool and thats why Gerrard has scored so many.
He offers something no one else in the squad can offer. He can come on with 20mins to go when we are struggling to break a team down and totally change a game. No other players are that different they could do this.
