As standard they do.

The Clio is not standard, hence why it beats the CTR

CTR if driven properly will beat a 172 or 172 cup. CTR's when moving are just as quick as an ITR, and I beat a few 172 cups in my old teg.

Clio would have had a cat back system by the sound of it,
no increases revs and no induction kit

the CTR engine is awesome, with a supercharger or in a lighter car is where its at
