i ahd no idea what car u wer on about at first but it sounded like something fast, so when u said u wer at 6k in 5th i thote itl be around 150 or so

im not surprised he didnt pull u over if u wer only doin about 120 and then u slowed down to the limit, a 216 rover coupe isnt exactly eye catching

No...

I've had a go at people for speeding doing 50 in a 30 etc. Never once had a go at anyone for speeding on a motorway

Get your facts right

I though the turbos were called tomcats.

To be fair your 216 is barely on par with a sport!

Well it was showing 130mph and still had a few hundred RPM left, obviously that's just indicated, but it wouldn't be less than 120mph if we had a GPS indicator thing IMO!

You thought it was fast though so you aren't qualified to guess what speed you were doing.
Lots of cars that aren't fast can go well over 100.

Why do you all try to argue against me, the fact remains that whatever speed he was doing, wether it be 120, 125 or even 130, either way he would have lost his license !

Everyone speeds, I think it is much more justified where there are no pedestrians!

So nice, empty motorway? Let it rip!

30 zone in the middle of a town/village (full of pedestrians, schools etc...), stick to the limit!

Tomcat was the car's pre-production code name at Longbridge Robin, and it has stuck for some reason.

I only found this out last year. Silly to still use the name if you ask me. I could understand if it was a Jaguar.

As they go, that's a good one.

The MK II Escort was called the Brenda.

What a fucking insult.

Wonder if they've called any other cool cars Doreen or similar.
