I used to play, a bit, I know what's good and what's not, yeah.
But I'm not an expert, or a good guitarist

Because the £59 one is not a known brand, and a £69 Electric will be rubbish quality.
Epiphone are Gibson's budget brand, Gibson are one of the massive names, like Fender.
£100 for an Epiphone is worth it, it'll sound better than a cheapy one, and not be as flimsy.
Electrics, remember you need to add the cost of an amplifier, and you'll have crap pickups on a £59 one... (pickups being the bit that picks up the sound) crap pickups = crap sound.
You'd spend £200 on a cheap-ish Electric and a 15W-20W amp, which wasn't a decent branded one.

good info on there, in my experience your best listening to recommendations from people that already have them.

Rob mate my LP cost £300 and I have a 15W Marshall which was about £80... very good sound, probly dont need to go that far but like you say, if ur gonna spend on an electric think sensibly and spend that little extra for that little better

Definitely Robbo, you get what you pay for, decent guitar would be ruined by a crap amp too, and the amp is often the killer for price, my brother bought a Vox AC30, and it was more than his Fender Telecaster

ebony is black... go for ebony as the natural is not really a very nice colour whereas black looks different IMO

Yamaha are great acoustic and electric guitars. Good for starters.
I learnt on an acoustic, hard on the hands at first but great sound and more satisfying I think. I also have an electric but dont enjoy it as much. Its ok for a change but I prefer acoustic
My tip would be to learn barre chords as soon as possible, it opens up a whole new way of playing imo.

Natural is left, Ebony is right. Can't see options for ordering the middle colour? (Vintage Sunburst?)
