with all due respect, yes rangers have one of the best youth academies in europe within Murray Park and billy davies is a rangers man but to leave preston were, in the opinion of respected people within the game, he has done a tremendous job, it would be a step backwards.

that is one side of it but the other side is that he comes up here takes control of murray park and within 3 years will be the next manager when le guen moves on(as he's bound to)

cant believe im talking about le guen moving and he's not even here yet

His nephew sometimes plays 5s on a tuesday night with us, apparently the only job he'd come back up the road for would be the scotland job as in his own words he 'wants to make us great again'

were we ever great

1- Bobby Robson too old - agree
2- Tony Mowbray possibility but he is annoyed of no funds at hibs so whats going to be different down there - he's ipswich though and through
3- Sven Goran Eriksson -
4- Terry Butcher Sydney FC - another ipswich fave, but could only be going to Sydney FC to change his lifestyle?
5- Billy Davies bigger aspirations - agree
6- Phil Parkinson who - Colchester united manager
7- Alan Curbishly step down? - perhaps, less pressure though, less stress.
8- Alan Shearer Taking time off is he not??i think so, will probs want to stay close to newcastle

At the risk of getting lambasted I'd wuite like monkey head Peter Reid to take over, there was talk of him before we appointed Royle and was disappointed when Royale was picked over Reid, I'd like Reid to give it a go just to porve me right if nothing else!
