im sure i remeber reading that he got the engine from germany, and when they started it for the first timehis mate who was still driving through the vally they were in heard it.............









his mate was 2 miles away

I suspect its a genuine shell with lots of alteration and cleaning up.

If you're referring to 'The Beast' John, yes it was a custom job.

It looked like a cross between a Bristol and a Reliant Scimitar, only huge and with a Rolls Royce grille.

He used to work for Rolls Royce (hence the grille), but they got all legal on him and made him remove it. It now sports an ugly fibreglass front panel with vents and slots in it instead.

I used to know a chap through work who was friends with the bloke who built 'The Beast', and I remember it being in mags when I was little, and being told all about it by my Dad.

Those SD1 bodies were quite well put together and seem to last remarkably well John.

It'll be an original one with 'structural enhancements'
