i really have no intrest in football, but it always happens the same lol.
tbh though i have no idea if we are good or not as i dont follow it, tis just funny though.

Like the blokes of match of the day say, its the difference between wining the world cup and only having just a chance if rooney's out your side.
Not good

and owen not looking good either, cant see either of them being fit to play in a world cup game Bad news for England, i think Sven will now name 5 strikers:
Owen (imo should recover in time)
Crouch
Defoe
Bent
Andy Johnson
If rooney makes it, AJ wont go

Drop a striker and take Aaron lennon instead, who has played on the left for spurs as well as on the right.

Rooney will be fot for 2nd round, we don't need him for 1st round (hopefully) so we should be ok, shame the shittest player in the PL did it though!

Robinson
Young Carragher Terry A Cole
Beckham Lampard Carrick J Cole
Gerrard
Owen or D.Bent
If you rely on 1 player in your squad of 23 to win a World Cup then I'm sorry but you don't deserve it tbh, Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Portugal etc could all not take their best player and still do ace in the WC.

Disagree, when the player is that important... which team minus their best player got stuffed in the WC Final 1998...

The important word highlighted, you take Xavi from Spain, they are still class, you take Ronaldinho from Brazil all you do is just stick Kaka or Ze Roberto there maybe even Kerlon, you take Deco from Portugal, it doesn't rubbish the teams by a mile, they are still great teams, I personally don't think England will do any worse without him, if people think that, then they aren't giving the deserved respect to the likes of Gerrard, Lampard, J Cole etc.... they are good players, don't forget them because if England get to the semi's or final or even win it, you'll all see what I mean.

Neither Owen or Rooney will make it, Owen has been rushed back and he suffered yesterday when he came on for 29 minutes.
It will be either Defoe or Bent partnering Crouch up front.
And who said Ashton Andy Johnson as well Jesus Christ if we have to rely on them then we might as well just stay at home.

Owen will go.
But an X-ray has shown that Owen has suffered no further damage and the news will be a major relief to the England hit-man.
With Wayne Rooney already struggling to make the World Cup finals, the upbeat bulletin on Owen's fitness will hearten England coach Sven Goran Eriksson.
Owen will now likely continue training in the next week and could figure in Newcastle's final game of the Premiership season against champions Chelsea next Sunday.

defoe isnt good enough, 36apps this season, and 8 goals
d. bent will be thrown in at deepend if he does go.
vassel is the only one with a good enough ENGLAND record (although hes only scored 10 in league) to play... but hes shit

If Owen nor Rooney make it, then I reckon Crouch (shudders) and Darren Bent. With Defoe, Beattie, and somebody else as back up.

England team without Rooney isn't as bad as everyone is making out for fucks sake - Yes he is a great player but as already stated if you are replying on one player to win you the World Cup then you dont really deserve to win it.
We could play with Owen & Crouch up front with no problems, with Gerrard and Lampard playing as attacking midfield players. Other than that you could play Owen/Crouch up front by themselfs with Gerrard just behind in "the hole" that would leave room for someone like Carrick to play as a holding Midfield player.
There is loads of options available, and luckily enough there is enough time for Sven to work out what will be the best option.
Yes it is gutting to think that one of your best player wont be fully fit/go to the World Cup, but its not the end of the world, people need to be possitive about it rather than thinking "oh no thats it, were never going to win it"

I agree, because in roughly 60-70 years time, Wayne Rooney will be dead, then England really are up shit creek then.
