you DO NOT need to remove the header tank or battery

its just a bit fiddly, but when you get the hang of it, you'll have no trouble

the pipes you've hiughlighted are the ones you need to get off, they will be tight, but just lever them off with a screwdriver

leave the one which is screwed in, unless you really need to get it off

make sure you have undone the jubilee clip enough, if you havent, this will stop you getting it off.

just stick at it, you'll get there soonish

Sorry to rub it in I.C. (especially if this has already been mentioned), but you couldn't have panicked very well.

You did the last thing you should have done.

Don't EVER do this again.

If any foreign object gets caught in any part of the inlet tract, switch the engine off immediately, and investigate carefully as necessary.

If it was something smaller but metalic, it may well have ended up causing engine damage.

Always make sure the straw is firmly seated before applying easy-start or carb cleaner etc.

Not having a go, just wanted to make sure you understood how serious this kind of thing can be.

Hope you get it sorted.

They're not Jubilee clips, they're spring hose clips.

You will need a pair of spring hose clip pliers to get these off.

You might be able to do it with a good pair of pliers though, provided the jaws are wide enough.

It would help if they were extendable/adjustable too.

So where are the jubilee clips suppose to be?? (rob said to loosen them and it should be straight forward from there)

so if i take these spring hose clips off, would it be easy to put back in? are these clips, whats holding the manifold from coming off?

SVM, thanks for the advice, no offence taken.

Finalyy got it sorted, Im a Happy Chappy lol.
For all the guys/Ladies that gave advice and help..... Much Appreciated.

My advice when cleaning the car with Car Cleaner is;
Take the Manifold off and clean the butterfly with loads of carb cleaner and get a towel/sponge and give it a good clean. My butterfly had about a 1cm of gunk stuck to it on both sides.

To clean the inner side of it, get a mate to keep his foot on the throttle while the car is off and clean both sides of the butterfly.

all in all, it would take about 20-30mins tops to complate the whole process of cleaning and asembling.
