yes mainly when booked out but for public use but it is officially a toll road and all german road traffic laws apply at the ring.

what im saying is people never go to just have a drive around it, they just go stupid and try to show off/race etc etc ppl get above there driving capabilities and crash and get seriously hurt or die

u should be there to enjoy urself have a laugh not see if u can make a sub 10minute lap and kill other people in mean time, less ur actually racing for team or track day, which the ring becomes closed, and not open for public laps.

Funny you should say this JR, just read this on RallyeRegister...

I am sad to inform you all that our very own Ed (crossie) crashed this morning at the ring. Ed is fine thank god, not a scratch on the bugger, but the saxo is fcuked...
From what I gather from a few quick phonecalls, he lost the back end behind another car in the rain and smacked the barriers. The saxo is a write off and it will be put to sleep in Germany.

yeah its a big risk, travelling all that way and back hoping you dont end up broken down in a foreign country or stack it into a barrier and end up fucked. Its not just you though, its other drivers you have to worry about.
