Shame, I need a set of Magura/FG hydraulic disc brakes for my Marder and they're over £220 retail, just for the fronts.

No it aint Robinio.
They take some stopping.
Transmission disc brake isn't man enough realy when you have 'improvements'
edit: btw, it's a 5th scale car Rob, so it weighs a ton and will take some effort to slow it down from flat out.
It's 2wd, so the transmission brake will tend to lock the back wheels and unsettle the car too much, especially on wet tarmac.

Pipe cost nearly 150 quid.
It's fucking ridiculous.
Nearly everything to do with it costs the bloody earth.
I realy need some cheaper hobbies/pastimes.

Those are the 'cheap' ones Jimbo.
Cable op, and 'only' about £100 for the front.
Oh, plus £70 or so for the alloy uprights you HAVE to buy to fit the bloody things.

Nearly finished my all carbon and alloy, twin motor TA-03 'sort-of' Turbo replica btw Jimbo.
Even got near perfect scale TSW copies.
Just need to paint the body black, source a pair of 28 tooth pinions, and find a speed controller that will run 12 cells and 2x 11 turn motors.

Will do a.s.a.p. Rob.
Need to empty my camera onto the PC first.
Then i'll snap a couple and she-mail em to Jimbo.
He's prem so can pop em up for me.
I am too poor to be prem.

I said it was a near perfect replica.
Twin ball diffs with Tungsten Carbide bearings though so should be ok.
I've never actually ruined a box on any of my model cars.
Even my loony spec TL-01 with the 12 turn and long gearing, or my brushless TA-04 DTM Merc.
Only damage i've ever done was getting some grit in the pinions/spurs on my TG-10 Mini and it chewed 'em up.
Can't do much to prevent that though cos they're exposed.

Yeah
Had that one in mind for about 7 years, and it has taken about that long to source all the bits.
There's an interesting article on one in the 'vintage media' section under 'reviews' on Tamiyaclub.com.
Fella built it top spec for a Yank magazine in 1999.
It did 85.7 mph.
