Dont get in a blue and white taxi if you value your life (use the private hotel ones), be ready for the smell of sewage as they use it to water the flowers in the street, and watch out for pic pockets.
If you like scuba diving you will love it

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
Lived up to its 5 star rating. Staff & management very nice. No mosquitos as place is sprayed every night - very clean throughout. Free safe in rooms as well as T.V. and mini bar (not free unfortunately!). Food was nice in all the restaurants including Italian and Indian themed eateries. Drink is a little expensive with wine at £11 and beer £3 a bottle.
Spent a very pleasant week there, weather was hot enough considering it's winter but do take a cardigan for in the evenings it can be quite chilly. Don't be afraid to visit nearby Nairma Bay (forgive spelling) for a bit more lively holiday shopping and lots of restaurants - Hard Rock Cafe is good for the kids as well. We expected loads of mythering shopkeepers but were pleasantly surprised there are a few shops in the hotel complex but they are all polite enough.
All in all we'd definately go there again - especially for some winter sun. Relax and Enjoy!!

This hotel was fantastic. So spotlessly clean.Excelent staff and service.Greeted with a cold drink.Bath robes slippers and towels supplied.Litle extras in the room like shampoo shoe shine sewing kit and loads more.
Olympic size swimming pool.landscaped gardens with romantic breathtaking views.
This was the best hotel I have ever stayed in.The food was excellent in the hotel breakfast was brilliant as was the main food.
The beach was cleaned every night and clean sheets every day in the rooms.
We are going back next year.
If you decide to go at this time of year take a warm jacket or thick cardigan at night as it does get very windy at night but no mosquioes which was a bonus for us.
All in all EXCELLENT HOLIDAY

We really enjoyed our stay at the Baron, the staff are all very friendly and the place was spotless. The hotel put on a big New Years party, there was loads of food from all different nationalaties and traditional Egyptian entertainment. The pool & beach are both great. Cannot fault the Hotel.
We went into Naama Bay once during the day, didn;t stay long as we could not be bothered with the hassle, all the shop owners try their hardest to get you into their shops. We visited Naama Bay a couple of times in the evening and it was much different, hardly get any hassle at all.
I would definately go back to this Hotel.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
On entering the area of the Baron you think what the heck have i booked as there is several building sites close by, which would make a health and safety bod cringe, BUT as you travel further down the road you get the first sight of the Baron.
We can not rate this one high enough, the staff are all so courteous and the place is spotless, even the general manager makes a point of walking the hotel several times a day to greet his guests and ensure they are all happy. The rooms are spacious and cool, (much needed when the temp is in the 40,s there are 5 resturants all different foods which is well cooked, and take it from me who is one who is picky on food, I ate well. I sampled an all inclusive hotel whilst we were there and if you can avoid them do, they are not a patch on a bit of variety, and meals are relitively cheap for a 5 star hotel, roughly £26 each but well worth it, you pay your money and eat as much as you want.
The beach which is 700mtrs of privacy was great and the snorkelling just off the beach was fantastic.
If Scuba is your thing go see Emperor Divers top notch school all Brits which was a bonus, and the diving was excellent.
The town area in Na'ama Bay was buzzing but it gave us a feeling of security after the Gazalla Hotel bombing that the police were hot on any car that stopped too long.
The town is full of Beduoin resturants and little shops, which the Egptians try and entice you into dont be fooled by the sales patter you can get that picture of Nefertity cheaper at the hotel but it is fun haggling, rule of thumb if they ask for 200 offer 100 then meet in middle.
If you are yearning for a bit of blighty go to the hard rock cafe for dinner or visit The Camel Dive bar,but watch the monkey nut shells on the floor.
All in all a fantastic holiday we didnt want to come home.
Lastly the airport is a bit basic but it had all you wanted and lets face it its not Heathrow is it, live a little, just avoid the little men offering to take your bags they will want payment, politely refuse and walk on is the rule.
We will be going back again and again the Baron is tops on our list.

Nice 400mtr long beach cleaned daily, with plenty of sun beds for all no need to do the 5am run to get the towels out same with the pool area.
There is a small jetty from the beach which takes you out over the edge of a coral reef easy access into the Red Sea where the snorkelling and diving is first class.
Food was very nice at all locations the hotel offer. One of the most cleanest hotels we have stopped in.
Rooms again very clean, beds a little on the hard side. Mini bar and Safety box's, nice toweling robes and slippers, showers very good with plenty of hot water. There is also TV's and telephones, all rooms facing onto the beach, pool and gardens have a patio area.
The warmth from all the hotel staff from the general manager down we will remember for a long time. At the time we were hear the Thomas Cook Rep Debbie is one of the best you could wish to meet no problem to big or small, welcome meeting no hard sell for you to go on tours.
As for if we would go back again yes at the first chance we got.
As for Sharm El Sheik airport all we can say is good luck and keep your cool you will need it

The Baron Resort is a lovely 5 star hotel.
Situated 10 minutes from the airport. On arrival we were greeted with a drink of local wine and our cases were taken to our rooms.
The rooms were large, spacious with a mini-bar payable locally and safe which you didnt have to pay for.
The hotel staff couldnt do enough for you, they wouldnt let you even pour your own drink.
The pool was very cold although I think they are making one heated for next year. There was plenty of room round the pool and also on the beach.
Breakfast was served till 10.30 which ment there was no rush to get up.
There was a courtesy bus which you had to book and took you to Naama Bay about 20minutes ride away.
I would definetely recomment this hotel to anybody. There was also an animation team and pool room.
All in all we will definetly be going back next year The weather was brilliant.

My/Our Holiday Opinion:
We had a brill time at the Baron, the staff are excellent, all make time to ensure your holiday is first class, nothing is too much trouble for them, Super beach, the towels/sun beds are free. They also come along with iced face cloths, which are lovely when the sun is very hot.The men advertising on the beach are abit of a pest, just get a red "do not disturb sign" and they respect your privacy.
Lovely food for breakfast, dinner. They have an Italian,Seafood,Egyptian,Buffet and indian restauant on site.
We went into Naama Bay one night too mush hassle from the locals, never went back, no prices on goods. The shop in the hotel is run by VICTOR, who is a lovely person, with the prices marked on the goods, we bought alot from him.
The Thomas Cook didn`t give you much info, and didn`t encourage you to go to different places, but we actually booked with the Thomson Rep (Kate, from Lancashire) who was brillant, and couldn`t do enough for us, and we were not with Thomson`s. The tours that we did do was going up to St Catherines, which left at 06.30 with a two hour drive to St Catherines, where the burning bush was, along with the well where Moses drank from.We never got back until 17.30 in the evening. We went to a 4 star hotel for lunch, which was terrible, the food was disgusting, nice beach there. We were let loose in Dehab for 30 mins, which was a right slum of a place. I wouldn`t recommend this trip, it was very expensive and not worth it. You also have a armed guard when you go out in the tours, just in case, the begging children are sad at the buses, we gave them all our packed lunches, they are dirty, maybe if you do go take some lollies/sweets along for them.
Got a pedicure when I was there, just hopes Mohamed likes living back in Cairo!!!
We will return to this hotel which was the best one there. hello to all the lovely people we met out there, and hoping to see them again sometime. I hope you have a nice holiday when you go there.

Been a couple of times and its ace. My dad has a place in hurghada (sp). He loves the diving and culture, its got awesome views, lots to see and do. Just be careful not to get suckered by locals. Don't eat anything dodgy and avoid the locals driving skills!

You will have no trouble getting a taxi. If your out and about dont acknowledge anyone as you will never get rid of them lol!
Some of the genious driving i have seen is reversing down the dual carriagway. We were out driving in and we missed our turning on a motorways. Dad just says, "its okay, do a u-turn, everyone does it." Night time is the worse! No street lights mostly but nobody uses headlights, you put side lights on to notify people you're there and flash hazards if your driving on the wrong side of the road. I think there is also a proper road sign saying "dont allow children behind the wheel" just as your enter the town!
Where abouts you staying?

i went there last month, my bro got a bit of a tummy ache but not bad really!
just make sure u always use bottled water and never tap water!
Sharm is a gd place and one thing u have got to do is diving as it is amazing in some of the places, i went diving and there was a boat that had sank and it was full of toilets was a laugh, got a pic of me sumwhere sitting on one of the toilets!
also the people will annoy u alot, it did start to get on my tits sum times but just ignore them, they will also ask u where u are from and start saying cockney phrases which is annoying and when ui want to buy sumthing they will give u a price and dont pay more than a 1/3rd of that price, but other than that have fun and watch the sun as its ment to be 3 times stronger there and u can burn very easily!

i stayed at the conrad sharm el sheik in december for a week and it was amazing
went snorkelling and scuba diving which is better than anyewhere else i have done it
i came back with a stomach bug but you can get that anywhere
i would definatly go back bomb or no bomb i wanted to go in june but going to Bulgaria instead and will prob go back to Egypt in winter as better weather than the canaries
as for safety once you get used to armed guards everywhere i think the risk is no worse than anywhere else like america, bali, london or warrington
