Yeh looks like your starts need a bit of work - time for a LSD?
but terminal speeds were high - so should be capable of 14's easy when starts are sorted.
my 15.3 was only with a terminal of 90.4 mph - so should get better than that for sure!

I can confirm Marks gearbox is well and truly shagged. He took me for a spin on saturday and you have to almost change from first, into neutral, then into second, then into neutral, then into 3rd, etc. When he gets his new gearbox he should be hitting mid 14's easily (yes, im putting lots of pressure on you mark ).
As Mark has said himself he is not a 1/4 mile person, and again I can vouch for this when he's driving, however, when he hits the corners his car is awesome.
It's getting there, just a few small niggles (ok the gearbox isn't exactly a small issue) to sort out and then this car should be complete.
Also, the weather wouldn't have done anything for his times.

if you can get a standard gsi to do 15's then why cant i get a stripped out 180bhp 1.6 with diff and a lower final drive to get mid 14's?

TBH im not the greatest fan of the pod, as its not the greatest test for cars like mine, and faster and better ones like marks
problem is, its about the only universley acepted proof of how quick your car is, people will allways be impressed by a mid 14, bu if you did a 49 round brands hatch its dificult for people to relate to
if you see what i mean

agreed, 1/4 mile driving is different to going round a corner, i can go round a corner better than i can go up the 1/4 mile, i like doing both tho hence i gave the pod a go on sunday. the bloke that built my engine and has spent alot of time in my car, says it is caperble on mid 14's if he drives it i will say it will deffo get there if he thinks its caperble. as can be seen on the 3rd video i did a proper granny launch, and still had wheel spin. i had more grip on the road than on the pod.
end of the day people that have been in my car are impressed and say its fast, people who drive fast cars and build fast cars for a living have driven it and love it. good enough for me, just thought id post my times up before someone else did and said how poo i was....
