also if you hit the back of someone with a bit of speed they will pull the brace forward. i have the same one its onkly bolted to the damper on the top. it might feel strong when you give it a bit of a tug but theres a lot more force involved when you hit someone. I would move them to the floor where the rear seatbelt buckles bolt to before you drive it again.

ill look into moving them then. can up buy buckles for the harnesses to bolt them to the rear sesat belt mounts? these dont have any buckles on that end. this 1 isnt movin much atm either lol

which make of harness are they ???
contatc them and buy some james, or measure what size they are, and contact LUKE in sussex and get them to provide some and some eyelets as well

cheers jr! there sparco 3 point harnesses. also does anyone recognise which moddle sparco buckets they are? only i want to order some new lower pads for them

james if you get the oppertunity/money change them IMO, had soem 3 point sparcos and thought they were terrible quality etc
got some 4 point Luke FIA oens now and there so so much better in evrey way

oppertunity isnt a porb but money is atm. will look into some luke harnesses as ive had some gd reports on them.
any ways, how did this car get you chucked out the meet?

lol! cant wait to get this thin on the road! ive been told by steve that the engine is still relativly standard apart from the chipped ecu. im hopin it is as that means ive got plenty more room for improvment!

when i get the harnesses mounted propperly, do i strip out the false floor and clean it all up jr style or cut a hole in the false floor for the harnesses to go through?

erm, they are attached to a bit of alloy or stainless that has hardly any structural strength in the direction the harnesses will pull in, it will bend in other words.
also the brace is attached ot the strut tops yes? this is a non-sturctural part, they will shear off very easily.... hence in an accident you will most likely get stabbed in the head by a flying strut brace!
so id move it!
