having driven an S2000 and an RX8 (newer dont sure if its as good) i would deff say go for the honda.
the mazda might be fast but the grin and the satisfaction that the honda gives is unbelieveable, ive driven so many cars and still prefer the honda over most.
with a couple of simple mods it will really stand out, it will literally leave you grinning every time u step out of it

I've driven the RX8 too, but its a completely different car to the RX7.
At the end of the day, if you want something incredibly quick, that with a few quid spent can embarrass £100k cars, get an RX7. SL55's and the like were no match for mine when I had the single blower on it(prior to it blowing up )
If you want something that's not likely to break down and a bit cheaper to run, get the S2000

think im gonna go for the RX. Prefer the looks of it and will be cheaper to do what I want to do to that than to an S2K.
Now to find one in white which is in good condition....anyone!!?

Any car could be a potential money pit, but Honda's have a rep for a reason they do last some although I'm yet to see an old shape prelude that has good paint work. The engines are good, but RX looks the biz
Despite all I've said, RX mate

what Jap engine does'nt?
3S-GTE in the MR2 turbo and the Celica GT4
few simple but effective mods will see you running a safe 300bhp and will last like that untill the turbo gives up....
and even then you can have a spanking new CT20b hybrid for about £750
