Phil - its a 12 year old base model car! They are not in demand, they are ten a penny........ And with space ship miles to boot.

If he can get 800+ he is doing well.

Carl I tell you what, it would be quite handy if you could stfu You're always a twat on my threads - I know its not highly modified as I have told you several times before. I also know its not going to be worth a huge amount, but I was asking for sensible replies.

AK - Yeh I know its a base model and tbh, I'm not expecting a huge amount for it, but I was just wondering really.

Insurance is the main problem tbh. This is costing me £1100 F/C atm as I declared the wheels, spolier and suspension The newer Corsa C SXi with lots of nice bits and gadgets is same insurance group (3) but is is more powerful and far newer so I would prefer to go for that if I can afford it. I basically cant be bothered with the hassle of engine transplants and the huge insurance premium that would come with it.

Yeh exactly and thats with 1yrs Named Drivers Experience, 1.2, Lowest Postcode Rating, and virtually no mods! Thats with Quinn Direct and cheapest by far - I was getting quotes of £2500 or more So that kinda made me decide that I should look into a newer car that would be worth paying that kinda money for insurance on!

Maybe because your always posting before and after pics and i find it slightly tedious but amusing at the same time. I'll refrain from being a twat in the future, i promise.

If you find it tedious, why bother commenting? This is General Chat, not Off Day so why bother posting crap? Maybe my car isnt hugely modified, but at the same time, when I do post photos, they do tend to be of a mod that I have done. Many other people are actually interested, and provide decent constructive criticism and new ideas.

can set a price but can't set the buyer

I paid less than that on my first L reg corsa, my own policy as a new driver with no year no claims and at 17
Its such a rip off for young drivers but totally understandable

True 3CM - I think when the time comes to selling it, I will post it on here and in various local papers. Then I will offer it in its current state or with the alloys, suspension put back to standard. The spoiler will have to stay, as I cant be bothered with filling holes etc! I was just wondering really, whether people would prefer to buy it like it is, or even more standard!

is weird as you see total shiteboxes for sale for £300, like wind-up sierras and clapped out novas, yet for £700-800 you can get quite a nice car these days.

so good condition un-desirable cars just float around with no real appeal.

just have to think who would want a car like that these days, most new drivers seem to get newer, low mileage cars.

Yeh I did wonder if my car would be better off going more standard to a granny! Or whether a Learner Driver would be interested in it to learn in, keep it for a couple of months after they pass etc. Or whether somebody on here would be interested in using it as a base car for a bigger engine. Hopefully I will get a bit over £500 for it whether I leave it like it is or standard. I shall wait and see! Look out for a "For Sale" post on here within the next couple of months!

Maybe for the very 1st thread I posted, yes, I have posted numerous amounts of times since, and have received a sarcastic comment from you in virtually every single one.

Yeh but then I'm fully comp, and also building up my NCB for when I can afford a better car. Is that really something so stupid to do?
