Owen is better than all of Liverpools current crop of strikers. Owen could get into any starting line up in the Prem. You sold him cheap for a reason....... Contract was nearly up. £8mil or nothing 1 year later.
Liverpool fans are so stubborn when it comes to Owen. Even Carra and Gerrard say Owen would be a very welcome addition to your squad

that is a non-liverpools fan point of view.
Owen said for all of that last season (and the summer before) he was at Liverpool that he was going to sign a new contract and no need to worry. Im not just talking about him saying thios once, he did it on atleast 5 times. He then played out the final season so he could go for a cheap fee and get a good signing on fee for himself.
If we could of got him back for 8mil (or even upto 10mil) then fine, OK. But I dont see why we should buy back a player that held our club to ransom to go and try to win things somewhere else for twice what we got for him.
If another side in the Pem wants him then fine, but to Liverpool loyalty means alot, and wanting to play for the club before others is something we want more than anything else.

GOOOOOOONERS!
The youngtsers are getting better each game and becoming more confident. The two new boys are well up to the standard.
Its all coming together. Henry would be stupid to leave...not that he will.

but if henry were to leave what would you be? without henry they wouldnt have as many goals or chances IMO

but if henry were to leave what would you be? without henry they wouldnt have as many goals or chances IMO
same couls be said about gerrard, if he was to leave or break his leg...............

I really don't think he will go......
And even if he did, we will offload before he can go free and get good money and then buy a new world class striker....obviously no-one is another Henry but the team can adapt.....Arsene knows what he is doing...I trust him.

He'll have 1 year left on his deal, it wont be that good money.
He says he wants to say yet he hasnt signed anything. Owen said he was staying at Liverpool but didnt.

Henry will go to Barca or Real (depending on who is their new manager), no doubt.
If gerrard gets injured we have Alonso, Hamann and Sissoko, still be one of the best midfields in premiership, correct?
Im not sure who else for 16mil, there are some good 'up and comers' out there that I know Rafa has his eye on, tis just a case of buying well and for the right price as he did with Alonso.

im sorry you cant compare those 3 as some of the best in the prem, they ALL vanish from games for large periods of time, and are nowhere near stevie's level

becuase.. who would? your 16million+ strikers are in short supply, and if they did want to leave the sun, they'd want to go to Chelsea for the glory. no denying your one of the best teams in the country and can be a joy to watch, but like i said, who of that value would join?

Why would they go to Chelsea, to sit on the bench and play half the games a season so they can earn more? Not all players want that and I think you'll find that at the end of the seaosn when Chelsea dont get everyone they are after.
And I never said they were in the same class as Gerrard, I said that those 3 still make up one of the best midfields in the Premiership, so if Gerrard goes missing then yes we will miss him ALOT, but not so much as if Henry was out for the Gunners. We have decent replacements for Gerrard, Arsenal dont for Henry!

but you dont.. you have decent midfield players, but gerrard wears size 40 boots, not many players in the world can fill them

Money shouldn't be an issue with Owen, you need him badly, but I think Fernando Torres would be an excellent buy.
