No, I degreased it all, left it to soak in, Jet Washed it with engine off for bout 5 minutes solid, and of course it wouldnt start! Sounded class when it did eventually start! Nice deep grumble when I floored it!!!! But ran fine again after it'd dried out properly!

has anyone use parts that you can buy to cover the hose and the wires do you think that this looks ok or will it look cheap

if your concerned about wires and stuff just cover them with freezer bags and use elastic bands to hold them on

not think of when i wash the thing on about after you have washed it and you see them hose covers that you can get in blue and red

I have some tetroclean Cleaner and degreaser.

Says on the can do not apply too hot or running engine, for best results apply when slightly warm.

Guess i could leave it half hour after driving it, apply iy, then run the car whilst rinsing off?

as for me- just used gunk de-greaser, autosol metal polish, back to black spray, and fuckloads of elbow grease lol

my old XE was quite clean, autoglym engine degreaser and autoglym rubber and vinyl care, and a bit elbow grease..

is this auto-glym rubber care any good?
i bought some mers plastic and rubber gel, but i didnt rate it

I've found the autoglym engine cleaner to be most effective, followed by a bit of polishing on the exposed paintwork. Plastic come up nice with the bumper care stuff aswell.
