Hi.
England played OK. Not as well as they played against Argentina. Think the Owen/Rooney partnership is best.
Carrick was awesome
Joe cole was amazing
Wright-Phillips should go
Gutted for bent, cos he couldnt get into the game, but did best he could.
Crouch scored a good goal.
All in all, england will have a good squad to take to Germany.
On a better note, Italy beat Germany 4-1

I'll be first to mention if any liverpool players dont play well in the England side, I have no problem with that. I stick by the fact Rio made a fair few mistakes in that game, Beckham hasnt played well for a while now (I mean how much better did we look with SWP on the right!?) and Rooney didnt put the ball through on 2-3 occasions where bent was in a great position.

crouch cole adn wright philips are the future at england, feel sorry for becks when he came off but hes an absolute legend, played with more passion than any1.

I have a theory.
the way england kept the ball was excellent. passing round on half way caused uruguay to defend deep, making bent ineffective. if they could have relaxed, and sat back and invited pressure, causing uruguay to dfend a higher line, bent would have been behind them every time, and his pace would have killed them. However England dont seem good enough to play the dangerous game, inviting pressure etc. because when they do, cocks like ferdinand mess up and give away goals.

to be honest you cant judge how we will do in the world cup on that game.
It was a friendly in the middle of the week + premiership season, so most the players are tired and didnt want to get injured. Plus wasnt the full side that'll start at the world cup.
