the V6's are poor, a bloke i was having a play with gave up coz he couldn't shake me. In the past iv had alot of trouble keeping up with 182 clio's and i have just over 200bhp. Amazing little cars

never driven anything like it before, if only it looked nicer at the rear
Magane 225 Cup is a far better car, give that a try

I don't think teh V6's are poor, they are quite something if you drive them properly or learn how to drive them properly. They are bloody quick too and you can supercharge them for 350bhp+ apparently.

they are poor based on the size of the engine they have compared to the size of the car, and the way they look would also suggest they wer faster

I'm sorry but those saying the V6 are poor are having a laugh. It's the quickest Renault and comparing it to a 182 is laughable. 255BHP, 153mph and 5.8 0-60 hardly makes it poor

yeah cus its only a fraction quicker than a 182 and for a few tenths of a second is laughable as the 182 is just a 2l 16v the V6 is 3l v6 midmounted and its only a few tenths of a second quicker

I have a 172,
0-100 there pretty rapid over a lot of cars,
I sat with a CTR to about 80 off the line last week.
But i will say 70-120 there matched with a lot of cars.
Me and andy stocker had a play from 70-***
and mine and his was neck and neck pretty much
but from lower speeds is where they come into there own
they hit 60 in 6 and a bit seconds
The v6 is a weapon, yes for the same price you could buy a scooby, but the v6 is different, its rear wheel drive and mid engined.

I love Clio V6's
I know some people say the are "poor", i had a mahoosive "race" with one on the a4 from reading to maidenhead. There wasnt alot in it!
He made mince meat out of me round anything bendy, but it wasnt going anywhere on the straight stuff. One of the best races i ever had. Guy was a twat tho, just looked all moody cos he couldnt shake me.
I think they are awesome, IMO anything thats faster than 7secs to 60 is fast!
Plus they just look so like nothing else you can buy. A real presence

I got cut up by a mini so decided to play as at the time I was in third just coming to the top of a hill so I floored it past they followed. I left it behind up till a roundabout where it all went wrong. I was going to fast and ended up with a bit of back end slide couldnt see the mini but it was in my blind spot and shot through.
Lesson minis (even new ones take roundabouts better than a corsa).
As for the clio thing my mate has the 182 cup and I know not to play with them as my little gsi hasnt a hope in hell.

I bet you half the people who have just made this sweeping statement havent:
A0 been in one
b) Driven one.
I'm quite lucky I have quite a few mates and family with quite a varied taste in cars so I get to have a play with them.
I can honestly say a Clio V6 is brilliant I only took it round the block but it felt very strong and the feeling you get driving one it second to none My mate then took me out for a bit of a blast and boy does it go from 70-***, plenty of midrange and sounds amazing. Even handles well although was told it can catch you out very easy.
Phase 1 V6's are quite afordable now, expensive to maintain and a bit scatty but deffo worth a look if you can drive
