I think the "sport" bit might be where you struggle. Lad at work used to work in insurance and reckons little words like sport will hamper you more than if you got say a 1400 breeze. Could be crap though.

IMO it doesnt matter what you get as a first car, just DONT crash, get some NCB and then get yourself a decent car when your 18/19.

I'd get a 1.2 16v SXi like I have. Good mix of cheap insurance, fuel economy and they aren't that much slower than the 1.4s and definately quicker than the 1.2 8v and the 1.0 peter! Also look identical to Sports inside and outside.

For a 1st car they are a pretty good all rounder

anyone think i get insurance around 1500 on the sport. would be better as me mum named driver i bet i can get it for that then

i've got a corsa sport and its my 1st car and my quote 4 it is £1082 tpft which isnt that bad 4 a 20 year old and ive only been drivin 5 and a bit months

shop around for a good one. dont pay silly prices like the ones you see in magazines or the classifieds section on here!

i bought this one for £1800 ( i think it was that much, might have been £1600). totally mint, fsh, low milage, air con, previous owner was a valeter so it was spotless!
