can you insure it as just a 1.6 if thats what it is in the log book? do you have to say it is a conversion?

ye, change it on the log, the ring up and get a quote, if they ask, just say its standard etc to the best of your knowledge!

ive gotta phone around on monday...
can i just insure it as a 1.6... then change it on the log book later when i get a chance sometime this week.. i wana get it insured asap you see.... and i dont have the engine code as the engine is 150miles from here lol

On their system it will say what it was to begin with ie model name.
Although my GSi was converted to a 2.0 & changed on the v5 etc, when I rang up for quotes it was still down as a 1.6 16v GSi.

just thinkin saves waiting for the v5 to return can i not just send the v5 away and get insured asap as i want to collect my car next weekend
