true not all coppers are bad, same as anything in life your always going to get a few dicks and a few decent people.

what bothers me is the fact every time i have reported a crime to them they explain they cant do anything about it so they wont bother coming, sounds fair.

What would you like them to do in that situation?

Some little nobber might'e done that on the off chance. Whats the chance of catching that same person again?

CID also soulds good, or SOCO

He was on CID for about 7 years but gave it up shortly after I was born. He said its ok when your single and young but once he was married then started having children he wasn't getting to spend as much time with us as he'd like as when your on CID you work very long hours and are basically on call all the time

i find it quite appauling reading the news and finding people's applications being refused before interview- purely on the basis that they are white males.

fucking shoot if you ask me, how can they turn willing people down
just trying to meet targets, as per usual

My best mate is one and loves it, currently doing surveillance training having been on the beat for a few years.

I've got another mate who did it and left.

I really enjoy it - not always the flying around town with the lights on excitment that people think though! Can be very tough and not very nice at times.

With everyone whos applying good luck, especially at your assement centre, just try and relax!

Also, just answer any questions on the form/interview honseslty, but make sure you do your form rough first! Think it took me around 2months to do my application form!

Davido - how you getting on with SOCPA? Finally getting my head around it now!

the new powers are a peice of piss mate, not quite as good as the old ones in some respects but much easier to get your head around.

They make more sense to someone from the outsiede as well, compared to the old ones so should be easier for someone new to get their head around

Good luck to anyone who's applying!!

The police sounds very interesting.. was going to go and study uniformed services at college but decided against the idea...

As i aint a strong girl.. and dont think i would be able to cope with what people have told me you have to do in the force.
