76k - jesus i dont think ive ever seen a house that cheap this way for the last 5 years!

When we bought our current hosue, we viewd 3 in a week, put an offer in on all 3 of them and see what one was accepted, the best house was and we now live there!
Paid £132,000 for it, 5 bedroom, garage for cars, drive for 2 cars, parking to side for 10 cars

a house much the same as ours, smaller garage and less parking sold for £380,000 2 weeks ago!
thats how much house prices have changed since year 2000

£75k seems so cheap

We got our house for £89k anda house 3 doors down was up for £450k though i reckon ours will be worth a little less.

We bought ours in 1998

Firstly it's not profit when you consider you've got to go and buy another house (if it's bigger etc) which have all gone up at the same rate

Mav, I thought in scotland people bid over the asking price?!

Lastly, my mum bought our house for £35k in 1987 and it's now selling for £170k

toms right to buy another house the money has to go into that.

Had the house up for offers over 69K looking to get 76k....

In general [prices up here are rising constantly but is still way lower than what you would pay in england..

My house
2 bed terraced ex council.
Monolock driveway gates etc.
double glazing
gas central heating
recently decorated throughout
new nathroom
gardens to rear aswell.
not a bad size.

so thats what you can get for 75K up here...

That's pretty cheap if the area's ok -i.e. are their loads of burbery shirts hanging on washing lines (apart from yours )

I didn't see the £69k bit, 75 is a decent offer i'd be inclined to take it if it were saves hassle.

Yeah the best ex council area in glenrothes if you get me..Well sought after area....Good street etc, quiet..
3 beds in my street going from anything 90k-110k

If i hold out sure i could get more but it's a risk...

Same here apart from my dad paid 6 grand for our house, and its worth about 160k now. Its madness

I'd sell by the way Mav. a grand less is worth it as you don't know if there will be another buyer next week or in 3 months.
