be careful with confused, best quote i got with them was £980 from diamond, when i rang diamond up so get the policy they wanted to charge me £1300...which i refuse to pay

i paid about £290 odd fully comp under my dads name though with cis, he had %70 no claims.
cheapest i could get on me own was about £1200 odd, on a 1.2 8v .

tbh i think its worth not having any no claims and going on your dads/mams insurance.
you save a hell of a lot your first few years, i must have saved about £3000 and over easily by using my dads cover.
now im 20 im old enough to have cheaper quotes any way, and a few insurance companies will take your time driving into account.
plus one or two companies will ofer you some no claims if you have been a named driver.

i payed about 1200 when i was 19 fully comp on a 1.2 8v. That was with Liverpool victoria and that was one of the cheapest about.

no pass plus or anything, 17 passed test and brought a 1.2 8v and insured it for £1200 which was the best i could get

£2300, with kit and alloys etc. also live in highest risk post code imaginable. well worth doin pass plus as that lowered mine from £2800
