painted under the bonnet, doors and boot this afternoon, and paint reacted under the bonnet which is bit gutted but will just rub it down and try again, i was rushing it really cos i had to be back at work very soon after i was painting, just come home from work and rubbed the whole car down!! its ready to be painted now, with or without the flakes tho...........thats the question!! hehe

He's gonna be pissed off if he wants the flakes and you 'forget' to put them in, your best off just doing it mate you just cant get it through to some people!

yeah just do a light amount of flakes in the first clear coat and then put 2 more layers of clear coat over to cover them well!!

also if u get a reaction, get sum 1500 and when it has flashed off rub it down so it has gone but not to much and then just paint straight over it!

the car is defo having flakes, gonna base coat the car tomorrow i hope then flakes go in tomorrow night or monday if all goes to plan, will get some pics up soon! iaz

right then have not had day off for last 6days but still benn cracking on well with the car, here are some pics:-

the whole car in basecoat, gave it 4 light coats of paint, did this betweeen shifts at work, between half 3 and 6yesterday!! its wuite tight in the spray room with all bits in there...........hehe

door in basecoat

all parts layed out its like a maze to get round them without knocking into them!

little pic peeping into the spray room:-

sprayed flakes in to car then, did this after work last night at about 10pm

then coated with another laywer of laquer:-

other bits of the car:- with just one coat of laquer after the flakes went in

close up pic of the colour!!!

did another layer of laquer after these pics last night finished just before 12midnight! not got any pics of it with 2 coats of laquer! going out to rub it down smooth now then will give it final coat of laquer tomorrow! should be super shiny then i hope!!!

i think the colour is nicer without the flakes............after putting the flakes in the colour looks VERY similar to JAGCORSA!!!! ummm maybe my car was not painted ford imperial blue after all?!?!?!?!
