Engine positioning is a giveaway.

That's one hell of a neat trick.
Somebody fetch the straight jacket
Was this the same place that rents out FWD Sierra Cosworths, Holden HSVs, Monaros, Bentleys, Rolls Royces, Mustangs, Senators, Carltons, Dodge Chargers/Challengers, Corvettes, Camaros, Trans Ams, Pontiac Firebirds, Cadilac Fleetwoods, Granadas, BMWs and lorries?

Yeah ok, so by now you're all thinking... "right, its an old Omega?" and yes.... correct, its a 1995 2.0 GLS in blue, even got rusty back arches.... however, those of you with a bit savvy may have gone "hey, look... Lotus Carlton wheels!" and thats not all....

That'll be a 366bhp straight six twin turbo Lotus Carlton engine then! Do the maths... standard Lotus Carlton did 186mph, and the Omega is far more aerodynamic.... and its got mods too, so think 450bhp+ and a boxy Carlton and we're talking 190/195mph.... add that to the slippery Omega shell.... anybody else wondering what the possiblity of 200mph is??
Just awesome, absolute grade A nutter...
That's brilliant Eck
Would have been even better if he'd found a rusty, dented, scratched, flat-white ex-police one and put steels on it for extra stealth and sleeperness
Incidentally, I am going to have to disagree with you on the subject of the Carlton ever being boxy?
Unless of course you're refering to one of those flat fronted, high clearance, 4x4 Carlton Land Rover van hybrids that you don't tend to see many of these days.
The Omega was built as a replacment for the Senator and Carlton as it was costing Vauxhall a lot to build two cars so different that were so similar visually and sizewise and that targeted pretty much the same market.
The Omega had to reflect the same design values and appeal to the same people as the Carlton and Senator and Vauxhall eased things by selling them at the same time.
All three cars originate in the same sort of era. I don't think that the Omega is distanced visually from the other two and would at least appear to share the same sort of drag coefficient as far as I could guess just from looking.
I'd be very intersted to find out what C.d. the three cars actually have if anyone knows.

i know that, but a omega is heavy. It just would of made more sense putting that engine in a lighter car. There usally 3.0ltre things themselfs, so if i saw a omega burn pass me, i wouldn't go "oh wow" i'll just be, oh, its a omega. Where as if a mk2 granada flew pass me at 150 i'd be slightly more impressed

Well think about it this way, a Carlton is really an Omega A and that car is an Omega B.
To be honest I think the guy built the car for himself to have fun in rather than to impress some kid in a Corsa.

Pulling away at the light tho most omega's r 25 v6's that's aren't particularly fast with about 170 bhp, if you saw one hammering that had 450 you would notice imo unless you were blind

I would have preferred to see the donor car restored tbh. Most people these days wouldn't know what the Carlton was anyway.

By the looks of things it would fit in a Corsa, maybe have to play with the inlet but should fit no problem, 3lt V6 out of a Omega fits (proven).
only problem is Gearbox.......
