for 7.5k the price of a good coupe then id say the clio is possibly beaten by the a3/golf
Im ever so happy with mine, it just pulls without spinning, i had a play with a 2ltr nova earlier, something i dont want to admit - i actually pulled a fair gap from him
Turn the TC off then give it a go, fun fun fun

Ibiza was another Option,
But then theres the turbo to worry about!
Clio is much like corsa in way you drive, but this car has so much more handling capability than the corsa
il go into a corner i used to do say 60 round in the corsa and that would feel a twitchy, with the clio i can do 75 and still feel fine

not 100% sure, there pretty decent figure, its just the way they apply the power from 1500 revs round to 7k, no flat spots and no wheel spin

The turbo and rarity did it for me with the Ibiza.
Nice car though.

Very nice.
I wouldnt sat they would do 14.7 1/4 mile tho. I raced a few in my 106 GTi and there was nothing in it up to 100 ish. The cup version may well hit those sort of times tho.

Looks nice Brad, im sure you will be impressed with it. Seems like you are happy with it, dont like the wheels though but you've already got that in mind. Sounds like buying the Clio was best for your needs and budget ETC.
Have driven a 172 and a 172 Cup at work and they certainly impressed me, but i do only drive a 1.2 corsa.

That's what I was thinking?
wasn't gonna argue it though as I have no idea what they do 1/4 mile in.

14.7 for the cup and 14.9 for ,the 172
0-60 of 6.5 seconds
erm - big end went on the gold corsa's c20xe
id say its faster than the xe yes, not as loud but the way it puts the power down is much better

I like them, Rachel looked at them but she decided they all look the same and there is'nt much difference between a Clio 172 and a base model in looks.
