I was insured under my mum on my first car at 17 (nova sr) and it was £900 my corsa is about £300 now i'm 22 (old sri)

sounds right to me, im insured for 1015 quid tpft on a 1.4 16v sport on a t reg- 18 with no no claims, quote for 1.6 16v sport for me is about an extra 250 quid so 2250.. tpft..

All these prices seem huge. Insurance premiums have gone stupid in such a short time.

Huge? I thought 1200 on a 1.6 sport was cheap for an 18 year old with no ncb

it is!
i live in a low risk area and it sitll costs 1250 if i wanted to insure 1.6 16v with no no claims discount.. when i was 17 i kept recieving quotes of 1600 tpft on my l reg sri!!

haha i paid 800 for my 2.0 16v nova TPFT and then changed down to a 1.2 nova when that was sold.

They wanted £70 MORE!! Work that out! I threatened to change companies and they said no charge.. then got the 1.6 16v and went down the 400!

Well im 19, and that site has just told me with 0 years no claims, i could insure a 320i coupe for £1200 TPFT
