Jim, i dont even know what the problem was in the end, im 90% certain the fuel pump gave up the will to live. All bodywork has been done and its running, parked up at bromley court hotel. I am after a project, its having the funds to do it though. I would like a cheap RS, cheap uno turbo or R5 GTT. UR quattro a little out of the price range i fear
