I remembered when i did my wrist in and for weeks people cracked wankers cramp jokes and yes it was funny and not humour in bad taste.

seth has a good point about it, yes, jokes shouldnt be made when thousands of innocent people die due to an earth quake.
however when an alcholic drunk, who wasted two livers dies, jokes should be made. tbh i'd go to his grave and pour of bottle of JD over it to rub it in 
he deserved to die and did everyone a fucking favour.

Oh no, they are addictions which are self inflicted. No one forced alcohol down his neck in the first place. And the help was offered to him to get over it...christ he was given a second chance at life FFS.

ever considered that coke and heroin are uppers, but alcohol is a depressant?
oh, and alcohol is legal?....ive seen a few people turn into alcoholics...started off as a quick pint after work, then one or two.....never anything stupid. then they suffer a bereavement or a trauma and it spirals
IMO there is always a reason that an alcoholic is the way they are, and that is that they are generally trying to 'switch off' from the troubles of the outside world
addiction to anti depressants/pain killers/sleeping pills doesnt seem to carry the same stigma though does it?
