i started with judo for 3 years which was great for grapples, locks and on ground fighting but the lack of punching and kicking made me go to do taekwondo for 4 years and it was great but i got bored as there wasn't enough fighting it was all these patterns and crap as you go up to higher grades, at black belt i was meant to know 24 patterns which represent the 24 hours of the day aswell as lots of other patterns .etc and by the time your 1st dan you know all the moves it's just a case of these patterns so i just got annoyed after a while and did kick boxing / boxing route as it's less patterns more fitness and fighting it's good but i miss the martial arts so i'm signing up to a local Jeet Kune Do club or To-Shin Do and Ninjutsu

Whats that?

Systema is a realistic combat style of fighting with real-life, rather than sport, application. It involves a unique, high speed, elliptical open-hand striking system, kicking, and defense on the ground. Unlike many Asian styles, Systema has no predetermined fighting stances, but teaches you to defend yourself against attackers from any position. In addition, students are trained in the use and disarming of weapons, improvised weapons, as well as combat in non-traditional situations such as fighting from a chair or while in a car.

no i'm not

I would probably lose in a "boxing match" against amir kahn, but in a proper fight who would know

This conversation reminds me of high school
