The original Big Dunc.......
Agreed he was good at football, but i have to agree with what others are saying, you dont treat a second chance at life with such disregard.
It annoys me that he has acted like this, and my mate gets killed in a car accident. They say life aint fair and I guess this is a god example...

I have known 3 people all between 14 and 20 get killed. I am sure they would have loved a second chance in life, for george best to have had a second chance and thrown it away like he has, then so what, he didn't care, so i don't care he is dying.

Surely you'd want to choose life after you've had a new liver and been through it all. To start drinking again is suicide, alcoholic or not, he deserves to die.

Because that would make you "uncool" or "boring"
Peer pressure is something u should get over in school. Bowing to peer pressure older than the age of 18 is just pathetic.
Its your life its what you make of it
There still is peer pressure after school, and only the weak ones give in to it IMO, its his life and hes wasted it, end of

People are showing respect, many people have said that he was the greatest footballer of his time etc and others have said about how they feel sorry for his family

Did he have respect for the family who donated their loved one's liver by trashing it... No he didn't. End of.

I personally think its tragic.
Everyone is on about how he has wasted his 2nd chance etc but the bloke had an addiction that he couldnt overcome because he was ultimately too weak to do so and hes gonna pay the price for that so i dont see any point in being disrespectuful.
i think its a shame that his footballing genius is gonna be overshadowed by his drinking prob

The guy was ADICTED to drinking, its a disease FFS, its not just like you and me, who can go for a few drinks now and again and be perfectl healthy, he woke every day fighting a battle against his problem. Do you think the NHS should stop treating patients who are are dying from Cancer because they smoke?
I agree that he was given a second chance and he fucked it up, but maybe he couldn't help it, and maybe if the NHS had made sure he was 110% booze free before he had the op then we wouldnt be having this discussion now.

Do you know how many young people die each year because there are no suitable donors?? Someone else could have benefitted from this liver. He had no intention of stopping drinking. Do you not think he had enough money to seek professional help for his addiction?? Unlike so many other people who beg for help but can never afford to receive treatment??
yes he was a great footballer, and yes it is tragic, but don't tell me he couldn't have got help for his addiction. Go to a children's hospital, or go and see people who would love a second chance, and then feel sorry for him. I am not being disrespectful, just truthful.

I feel sorry for anyone who has an addiction, wether it be drinking, smoking, drugs whatever.
He was drink free for quite some time as he presenting on Sky, so he must have some sort of intention to stop, only he will know why he started again.
Yes the Liver probably been used been better, but how did they know when they gave him it that he was going to start drinking again??
