I finished my kitted Corsa and was bored of it in a month, was fed up breaking bumpers, grounding it on speed bumps, bouncing thru potholes.

Bought an Astra sxi, put irmscher bits on it so its a sensible, reliable, good looking car which gives me time to save and build ncd so i can buy a Integra Type-R

this reason is why i went to steiny skirts, airdam front etc as they are nice subtle bits which dont cause problems to much

my biggest hassle is not bein able to get trolley jack under and garages saying they cant get it on ramps, so lost the low stuff.

I definitely have. I bought my coupe only planning to subtley modify it... 18's, subtle drop, vaux/irmscher body work (gsi front, turbo spoiler etc.)
But now I'd much rather spend the money on other things... clothes, holidays, gadgets etc.
It's a nice enough car as standard for me

never ever grow out of small fast cars, not into modifiying the way things look really, more into how they go/handle etc
