Your invited, so that means that you have every right to go. If your still friends with your ex, why not, i can't see any harm in it at all.

Katie, Karens first reply was about turning up to see her face then leaving. The general insinuation is that its an excellent opportunity to create trouble.

Ok, i was just asking, because in the other post, people seem to be very spiteful towards her and it's not nice to read.

Read this thread on face value and you might get a different impression of its purpose. I've also replied in the other thread.

How will i know it is spiteful if i don't read it Ally, and i was asking if there was any reason as to why people were mean to her, whether she had ever done anything to deserve it?

Im not getting into an arguement over this, this is only the internet.

However people say stuff on here which, naturally is going to 'open themselves up' to abuse

I'm not arguing either, i had no intention of arguing with anybody, it was just a question, which Ian has answered.

Yes, on here, it's generally something along the lines of "Hello, I'm new!"

Plus what i see is that its the internet why post your life story on here and whether or not you should go to a party, im not being nasty here Karen but you should realise people just have abuse for you, ive learnt this, i may have posted silly questions a few times but you should realise

I hate this "it's only the internet" routine. Some people have their own interpretations about what people say about them and could either sway positively, ie, laugh it off, or negatively - taking it personally.

Doesn't matter where it happens - be that the internet or real life. Going to a party to create trouble is a problem in either setting.

Its just the internet - no - its real life being talked about somewhere else - and it would be unacceptable anywhere.
