Monkey...you can't compare a 1.6 corsa to a vtr as the corsa is 16v and the vtr 8v!
A VTS which is a 16V would piss on a 1.6 corsa.
I say go for the vtr...screw staying faitful to vauxhalls...they're wank mostly
Yeah want some more speed now I have to rag the fuck out if the 1.2 to keep up with normal road users

i can compare a 1.6 Corsa to a VTR because we are not only looking at performance, both are similar insurance, Corsa is better built, better engine, and then the option of tuning the 1.6 or dropping in a 2.0 when older. much better option that a frickin VTR.

As for insurance I paid £800 fully comp on an 02 plate VTR at 19...probably a couple of hundred more for you being 18

What's the point in buying a car planning for the future, dropping another engine in? Live for now!! if you want a bigger engined car later on, then buy one!
it's cheaper to buy a pre-done XE or LET than do it yourself. FACT

ok then, i say he should buy a 20XE Corsa then but then hes buggered on insurance. so halfway house would be a Corsa GSi/Sport 1.6. decent performance, and still low milers about

My brothers is fine, nice to drive and although build quality is a bit iffy its not all that bad.
Also its not much that slower than a GSi
I wouldnt personally buy one but I can see the appeal and they are cheap as chips to buy

love you too babe. remember the old days on the board? those were fun days. my mum had a 52plate black VTR from new. she loved every minute of it. i did bloody enjoy driving it too actually. handling put my Corsa to shame. involving drive and nice gearshift.

ok are you taking the piss now. it was ojc who put one of his black socks over his inlet, which then get sucked into the throttle body and fucked his engine.

hahaha - i'm being deadly serious. Stretch a pair of tights over the airbox and it gives it an induction noise. I wouldn't do it, but it is a good budget way to.
