There's always a thread saying "Its our 16 and a half week anniversary what should I get her?"
Its only a birthday man - just get her some CD's and maybe a small perfume. That will do. Then just tag along to a family meal.
Fucking hell - I think the most I have evr spent on a bird is about £50

Its all about training - if you spend the minimum for a few bdays/xmas etc then they will eventually expect nothing more.
It then becomes a mutual agreement that it is not necessary to wax hundreds of pounds.
You dont have to empty your bank balance once a year to be a good boyf 
Birthday presents are overrated IMO
