Thats what I'm thinking Ian, car was just driving along the road then the loudest bang ever? Sure didn't hit anything in the road?

Has the bar actually snapped in two or come off at the mounting or something?
Stripping the thread on the bush mount would be more likely. Assuming the bush mount hasn't just popped out?

Update!
It snapped the actuall bar, looked like a weak point. It was explained to me that the suspention should be lined up where it will sit then a bolt put in. Looked like the suspention was dangling when the bolt was put in, hence stressing the bar.
Will be back on the road for later so I'll be going to MFN at Notts hopefully!
The freakyest thing is this though. One of my best friends has a LET Nova (J 60 OST, runs a 12.5 1/4), and his did exactally the same, about half a mile from where mine did it, just 12 hours earlier. Spooky or what!!
September 17th will now be know as snap a tie bar day

There's not much adjustment, only whatever play you have in the bolt holes, and the suspension doesn't dangle - it to has a bushed arrangement which has a natural centre point, but thats where it be when the tie bar is attached - not both dangling and bolt wherever they cross!

No, it's off J26 of the M1.
The quickest way to it is down the M1. Come off at J26, hang a right down the duel carrageway, then it gets tricky LOL
Best way for you Matt would be to go down the M18, then down the M1, at which point I could meet you at Woodall Services

I can't reccomend that enough dude, we could of easily all been dead if it just happened on a corner at any good speed.
Sounds like it was going for a while, so would be easy to spot. Bit scary it happened to two of us on the same day, both luckily doing less than 10mph

That will be mine then ROFL. Been there for 3 weeks I think? Reckon there is at least another week on it minimum (top secret stuff going on, will reveal all if it works).
By that time my stack dash should be here, so it will take him a few more days to plumb that it.
I might have it back in another 3 weeks ROFL
