Dont see what everyones problem is with this guy. He's got his own car, and is insured under his mums name on another car so he can use that when he feels like it. Whats the big deal?
Whoever said he cant drive it to work/college clearly knows fuck all . He can use it as much as he likes, so long as his milage is less than his mothers. If he works 5 miles from home, and decides to use his mums car mon-fri to get there, so long as she does 51 or more miles in the same "period" so to speak, she's still the main user of the car, as she does the most milage.

ok lets get this straight:
I have a corsa insured in my name with my mum as added driver, we both drive it. This car is registered to me, it is legally mine.
I have a vectra insured in my mums name with me as an added driver, we both drive it. This car is registered to my mum, it is legally hers.
If either of us crash either cars we are insured. All this means is that i can legally drive a 2.2 vectra at 18, not get raped for insurance and still have no claims. Wheres the problem?

Funniest thing is my mate who has a 1.0 litre corsa and is 18 was getting quotes of £900 or something then this girl who hes mates with he put her on as a named driver and it dropped by £100-£200 what the fuck
Needless to say I think he went ahead and put on even though she has never drove his car apart from maybe once when he was pissed

If you put a female on your insurance (noted as your domestic partner) it brings your policy down.
Adding my girlfriend to my policy brought it from £560 to £475, which is pretty damn good for being 20 with 1 yr ncd on an Astra SXI 1.6.

Its a good thing, but I dont let my missus drive either of my cars very often!
Too many tell-tale signs of female driving, seats and mirrors all adjusted, kurbed wheels etc.
