mate, trust me it changes - not a lot a first, then a few weeks down the line it all kicks in.
i wouldnt cut your losses totally mate, drop her the odd text etc but i would give it a good few weeks before even thinking about going at it again if you think shes "the one", but like i said, i would ask her what the real reason was and it seemed to be a bit of a lame excuse

well id still leave it a good week or so mate, and then go hunt down the real reason - hopefully she have some the decency to give you that atleast
after then see if its worth sorting it out, if there is a "real" problem or telling her were to go and go shagging her mom/sister/best friends/friends whilsting mailing her pictures of the acts

Also, i know this will sound hard but if she wants to do the whole friendship things id give it a few months first cos it will only make things 10 times worse, did it with the ex first time we split up and it was murder on me
